Hi all,
I apologize for my long absence...this week just turned out to be busier than I expected...and I am still trying to get into a habit to post more regularly on my blog. Also, if you have any suggestions what you would like to read about or see pictures of, let me know. When it comes to nail polish, I am trying to hold myself a little bit back due to already having almost 600 bottles...and yes, I still want more...When it comes to make up, I am more the drugstore kind of girl rather than high end...I just refuse to pay too much money for something I can get from the drugstore...and let's be honest...even with what I have already accumulated, I will probably never use it all up or it will take me a while to do so.
But let's get back to the original title and talk about my "trash"; technically my empties. I decided to combine two words, inspired by @getthelouk and her RIPproducts (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEdjkmyEx_CiqaWu83pvD1mqgqfXT1DXB)...and empties in general...creating R.I.P.-ies. Let me know if you like it or if you have other ideas for naming this kind of articles. I will try to post a few products and my thoughts on them at least once a month...though my brown bag is filled with my used up products so that we could spend all day just me telling you about them.
So let the show begin :)
I will be talking about these 4 products today:
Shower gel, Shampoo, Eye Lashes and Lip Gloss |
How did I like it: This was a really nice shampoo. Left my hair smooth and it smelled nice as well. If you see it I would definitely grab it.
Would I re-purchase?: The answer is yes. I do have other shampoos to use up first but if it would be on sale in the future, I would definitely get it again. Even though it did not do miracles, it was still a very nice product to use.
Herbal Essences Shampoo - like the scent a lot |
How did I like it: Well, I got these for a wedding I was planning to go to in December last year. Of course I tried to practice putting them on and they looked quite nice and bold on my eyes; however, I never mastered the way to apply them properly...and of course I ended up mixing them up (could not any longer tell which one was for the right and which one was for the left eye). So I decided to get rid of them :(
Would I re-purchase?: If you are skilled and know how to apply them, I would say you should go ahead and get them. Me, personally, would not get any fake eye lashes anytime soon. Do not wear them on every day basis and I have enough fake lashes from different subscriptions boxes to give me options if I need them. But I would definitely recommend this brand.
Ardell Glamorous Eyes fake lashes - they looked bold and I really like them; unfortunately they did not get through my experiencing attempts |
How did I like it: This is one of the few products I am getting rid of because they are way too old. I remember buying this when I was in college (and that has been more than 10 years ago) and really loving it. The one on the picture is actually the second tube of this glossy lip gloss. At the time I was in love with this product but after 10 years being in my collection, it was time for it to go out. Mostly because it had a strange scent to it and I do not think it was safe for use anymore.
Would I re-purchase it?: I do not think you can still get these lip glosses but if you come across them, then I would say it is worth the try. As mentioned above, it was my second one; so my answer is yes; I would if still available. The only thing I would point out is there are chunks of glitter in it so if you do not like the gritty feeling on your lips, this would not be your favorite. Great for teenagers and young adults.
Maybelline lip gloss; I have it for so long that the name has rubbed off and I don't know what collection is this from either. After 10 years in my stash it was time to say good-bye to it. |
How did I like it: This was another product that I liked a lot; though I think it was drying my elbows because I was having dry patches on my elbows while using it. All in all it was a shower gel with nice scent that lather great and you did not need to use much product. Also, the cost for most Dial products is very affordable.
Will I re-purchase it?: I liked it enough to say yes. Currently I have maybe 8 shower gels in my stash that need to be used up, but again, if I see a great deal on it, I would go ahead and buy it.
Dial - Yogurt Vanilla Honey scented shower gel; loved the scent and the way it lathered. |
