Yes, you guessed right...I was planning to post this on Black Friday which was exactly two days ago. But I am just one of those people who really procrastinate everything and then I end up being off schedule. Still trying to get use to the fact that I am working on my Blog because most of my energy is being focused on my Instagram account and during the day I work eight and a half hours...sitting in front of the computer and when I get home the last thing I feel like doing is to stare at the laptop screen for another hour. :(
But that's enough for rambling and it is time to review some of the products I have recently used up. I don't know how about you guys, but I tend to use up 5-10 products around the same time even though I started to use them at different times. You should see my bag filled with all the products that I have used up in the last few months...it is overflowing at this point so you may see more of these on my blog until the bag is empty...lol...that may never happen and I think you all would be thinking about me that I am crazy if I do nothing else besides showing you my trash.
Today I will be talking about these four products:
CVS make up wipes, Olay facial cream, Avon anti-frizz hair treatment, Bath and Body Works body lotion |
How did I like it - as you can tell, I used up two of these make up wipes. I have to say that I really like this generic version from CVS pharmacy (I do not think that you can get these anywhere outside USA) and whenever they are on sale or I have coupons to use, I would definitely grab as many of these as my budget allows me...lol. You can find different versions of these make up wipes at CVS; however, I have to say that the ones in the blue packaging are my most favorite. They are nicely moist and take off any make up that is left on your face. I also use them on days when I do not wear make up and they leave my face feel nice and smooth.
Would I buy them again? - and the answer is YES. I already have back ups in my bathroom drawer and I purchase them over and over again whenever I get a chance. Also, the price is very reasonable (especially if you can find them on sale). You get 30 towelettes or more depending on the size and the deals they are having. If you have a CVS pharmacy near by, go and try them out.
CVS - Cleaning and Make up Remover Wipes; love the ones in this blue packaging |
How did I like it - when it comes to body lotion, I do not have a favorite brand or scent....I just usually go with what is on sale or have a really nice scent to it. With Bath and Body Works products I do not tend to walk into the store and buy their stuff unless it is on sale. With this particular body lotion though I have to say I would probably pay the full price for it. The lotion itself smells really nice and it absorbs immediately into your skin. I only used this lotion before bed so I am not sure if it will leave you with a sticky feeling if you need to leave the house afterwards, but all in all I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the lotion; and the scent was divine as well.
Would I buy it again? - this is another product where I would say yes, I would buy it again. The price for Bath and Body Works products is quite high so I recommend to stock up on any of their body lotions when they have deals (I got mine during their semi annual sale). I got this one for $3 or $4 what is a reasonable price for a body lotion...love love love the scent and the fact it absorbed so well into the skin leaving it smooth and the scent was lingering for a while as well.
Bath and Body Works - Malibu Heat body lotion; go and get it, especially when on sale. This is well worth to spend your money on. |
How did I like it - I got this product from a friend of mine as a Christmas present 5 or 6 years ago. Hmmm...that has been a while ago, right? But the truth is that I was using something else before and I know you will be all judging me right now when I say that I wash my hair only once a week...thus any hair products last me a long long time. The reason why I do not wash my hair very often is mostly the fact that I am lucky enough to not to have worry about it too much...and every other day I use a dry shampoo just to refresh it. My hair does not require much attention and maintenance and as long as it stays that way I do not see why I would have to change it. When it comes to the anti-frizz qualities of the product, I would say this really helped to keep my fly-away and the small baby hair from creating an aura around my head. I did like this product and if you have access to Avon in your area, I would say it is worth a try. I can tell that I am missing this product from my hair care routine already.
Would I buy it again? - I already miss this product but right now I have several things in my stash that I will have to get through before buying this anti-frizz hair treatment. And with the speed I am using up these kind of products, this may be a while again.
Avon - Advance Techiques Anti-frizz hair spray...and yes, I lost the cap a while ago ;) |
How did I like it - I absolutely love this facial cream. I have bought this product several times and I keep repurchasing it. I love that it has an SPF 15 and that it gives my skin the moisture it needs without leaving it greasy. I use it in the morning or in the afternoon if I leave the house. It is great underneath your make up foundation because it soaks into your skin immediately. It also last me a while (maybe because I am using a different facial cream before bed); probably anywhere between 6-8 months at a time. When you purchasing this product, check the expiration date printed on the bottom of the original box; as all the products with SPF, this one has an expiration date as well. All in all, I really have nothing bad to say about this facial cream. I have a normal skin type, with occasional break outs during certain periods of the month.
Would I buy it again? - oooooohhhh yeah. This is my most favorite facial cream I ever tried. And though I am sure there are other and maybe better creams out there on the market, this happened to be a perfect match for my skin. Currently, I received several facial creams from different subscription boxes so I am using those before they go bad...but I have to say that I am already missing this in my skin care routine and I am planning to re-purchase it very soon...and probably use the other products as my night cream.
Olay complete - facial cream with SPF 15; my absolute favorite and already have another back up. |
