Cici & Sisi stamping plates #1 (white) review

Hi guys,

I hope you are all well and that you do not have to struggle with the snow storm that is approaching the East coast of US. I will be stranded home and working from home due to the expected storm tomorrow even though the forecast for my area seems to be quite mild...but one never knows.

Today I am really excited about this review!!! I got an Amazon gift card for Christmas, so I went to check out what is new in the stamping plates and nail art department. While I was browsing the search results, I came across 4 of the Cici & Sisi stamping plate collections. Today I will be talking about the white collection that is considered to be their #1 set (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HD4F8DK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

The plates come in this pretty box. You can keep it to store your plates in it or you can get rid of it. Would be nice as a decoration in your beauty room.
I have seen these plates on YouTube but I never really paid too much attention to them...I was such a silly girl!!! The white collection cost me $29.99 and I received my order in less than a week after I placed my order. The set comes in this pretty white hard paper box that is sturdy and looks nice even as a display in your make up/nail room.

The box holds a silicone stamper and metal scraper and a while plate holder.
When you open the box, it reveals a white book with a scraper and silicone stamper. I have to admit I am not a huge fan of silicone stampers but I did not try this one yet to give you my opinion on it. In general I prefer rubber stampers but I will definitely give it a try. Also, I do not use metal scrapers, prefer plastic ones, so I cannot give you my thoughts how well this works either (I am such a great reviewer lol). If you are a beginner, this is great to have as it saves you some money.

You have six plastic sleeves holding your stamping plates; the quality of them is so so. Mine are already torn, ripped or came apart on the side.
The book carries 6 large plates. Each plate has 24 large images and several small ones in the middle. I like the fact that you do not have to worry how you would store your plates due to their size. This is very convenient and because the plastic is transparent, it is easy to see all the images. My only problem I came across is the quality of the plastic holders. When I got my order, the temperature outside was below freezing...so partly what might have happened can be blamed to the temperature difference between outside and inside. 2 of the plastic sleeves torn and ripped immediately...:( It was a very sad moment. However, when I was looking through the images for my nail art few days later I realized that one of the plastic sleeves is coming apart on the side; thus it had nothing to do with the temperature. Nothing that cannot be fixed with tape, yet partly a bummer if you would use these plates regularly.

Each plate has this blue protective foil that you need to peel off before using them. Easy to remove and leave no blue residue at all.
Each plate is protected with a blue foil. It comes off easily and does not leave any residues. So make sure you peel it off before you start using them, otherwise you may be wondering why are your stamping plates not working and you are unable to get these gorgeous images on your nail.

Plastic backing with the logo and website. Easy to clean and protects you from sharp edges.
The other great thing is the plastic back that protects you from the sharp edges and the plates are sturdy. Because this is plastic, it is easy to clean the back of the plates if the polish happens to get outside them. I also like that the logo of the company is on the back (and the front as well) so it is easy to recognize what plates you are working with even if you decide to take them out from the "fancy" holder.

Each plate has 24 large images and several small ones running through the middle. They are also numbered so it is easy to keep them in order.
I have used a few of these plates and I have to say I am absolutely blown away by the quality. I do believe quality wise they are equal (and I would say almost better) than my MoYou London stamping plates (and I am absolutely in love with those). If you would like to see the manicures I created with these plates, you can check them out on my Instagram account under username nailsby_judinka123 (http://instagram.com/nailsby_judinka123/).

The images are unique and fun. the overall quality is amazing!!!
You do not need much polish to scrape off what I like because there is nothing worse than wasting nail polish...lol. I used both special stamping nail polish from Konad and regular, cheap nail polishes. The images were crisp and clean, even the smallest detail transfers nicely both on the stamper and your nails. I have stamped several images, and I came across only one that was not perfect but even that image looked good and the full image transferred  on the stamper and nail.

I yet have to try the stamper that came with the set to see if there is any difference but my rubber stamper had no problems at all.

All in all, I think this is a great stamping plate collection. For the price you are getting everything you need and the quality is absolutely amazing. I think these would be great for any beginner because they are easy to use and maintain. My only con is the quality of the plate folder. Not sure if the quality was influenced by the temperature or if this is a well known flow but the truth is that even if I do not have the holder, I would still be able to store my plates without any problems.

This set is a must have!!! You won't be disappointed!!!
So yes, if your budget allows you and you wanna try something new, I would highly recommend to get these stamping plates. I will be purchasing the 2nd edition soon and my hopes for that one are high. Great job Cici & Sisi!!! These plates are just perfect.

Hope you liked my quick review and I hope it was helpful if you are debating if to get these or not. Stay safe and I talk to you all soon.
