First 2015 R.I.P.-ies

Hi guys,

I hope you are all sound and safe in this awful weather conditions. I currently live in North Eastern Pennsylvania, and even though this winter is not as bad as last year, I still cannot handle this cold air and daily snow "dusting." The truth is, when the temperature drops, I don't even leave the house; unless I have to go to work or take the dog for a walk.

But enough rambling about the cold and unpleasant weather and let's jump into a short review on the products I have recently used up. If I am right, I have already posted 2 maybe 3 articles where I have been reviewing the products I used up recently (or last year). I saw this idea on YouTube where beauty gurus talk about their empties (and let's be real, they are talking about their trash), thus I thought my blog would be a great place where I can share my thoughts on products. Today I will be talking about these empties:

Olay shower gel, Miss Sporty eye liner, Rexona body spray, CVS eye make up remover
 Olay - Body shower gel

How did I like it? - If you follow me on Instagram (user name: nailsby_judinka123 http://instagram.com/nailsby_judinka123/) you would know that Olay is absolutely one of my most favorite brands for skin care. I got this shower gel at my local pharmacy because I had a coupon and it was on sale so it was hard to pass on it. All in all I liked it; the scent was nice and it lathered quite well (what I really appreciate in a shower gel). However, my elbows seemed to be dry and I had small bumps on them while using this shower gel. Not sure if it was the shower gel itself or something in combination I used in my daily routine at that time. My elbows tend to get dry through a year and is acting up during different seasons, so being more dry in that area while using this product might have been a coinsidence.

Will I buy it again? - As I said, it was a nice product and if I can get it for a good deal, I would probably re-purchase it again. However, because my skin felt more dry and I had dry patches on my elbows while using it, I might think about it twice. All in all, if you know your skin is more on the oily side, I think this will be a great option for you. Well done Olay...did not disappoint again.

Miss Sporty - eye pencil in black

How did I like it? - If I am right you can get this brand only in Europe. When I was in high school and most my collage years...and I think also when I worked in Prague I used to use this pencil daily. It was my go to eye pencil and I did not reach for anything else. However, now that I have discovered new loves, this eye pencil does not seem to be as great as I always thought it was. When I moved to the U.S. I have tried several other brands, and even though this is a great liner for the price you pay for it, I find it to be hard when applying in my water line and have to apply it several times to get a bold effect. Also, after few hours of wearing, you can definitely tell there are dark circles underneath my eyes. When I was in high school and college it did not bother me because I was not too concerned about an eye liner being transferred under my eyes; but nowadays it drives me crazy.

Would I buy it again? - In the past I bought this eye liner several times. To tell you the truth I am using the last back up I have bought when I visited my family in Europe last year. But since I have discovered much better quality brands that make similar products for about the same price, I do not think I will be buying this again. If you live in Europe and you are on a budget, this is a really good option for you. As a teenager I used to love this product!!! Now that I am more mature, I care more about what I put on my eyes (especially in my water line). I would still recommend it to younger generations; they will absolutely love it.

Rexona - body spray

How did I like it? - What you see on the picture below is a travel size can. I don't even remember where I got it or why I bought it. I usually wear deodorant and body spray deodorants are not something I really reach for because they do not work for me. The scent of this was clean and it did not linger around me for too long; what I prefer rather than smelling a scent for hours. It was an OK product but not something I was too thrilled about.

Would I buy it again? - Probably not. I do not use spray deodorants because they do not work for me and I do not use it as a perfume or body mist either because the scent is too neutral and does not last for too long.

CVS - eye make up remover

How did I like it? - Honestly?! I think this is one of the best eye make up removers on the market (at least in my own opinion). Not saying I tried them all but from what i have tried, none of them compared to the CVS brand one. Even though this is a generic version of the Neutrogena one (I am not 100% positive but I think that's what is says on the bottle), I did not like the original one and I think the CVS one is much better and more affordable. The only con for me is when you are almost at the bottom of the bottle and you do not have much oil left to mix it with the solution, I end up pouring it out. Also, they have changed the cap on the bottle so now I have to rotate the original snap opening cap with the regular screw on and off ones. If yo have a CVS pharmacy in your area (I do not think you can find this generic brand in Europe or other states besides U.S.), give it a try. This goes on sale all the time and if you have CVS coupons, this may cost you almost nothing.

Would I buy it again? - I have purchased this eye make up remover several times and currently have in use right now. If you go through my skin care routine stash, I am positive you will find at least one back up as well. In my opinion this stuff is great and I am not planning to replace it anytime soon. Thus, yes, I am planning to purchase this again and again and again...until they stop making it.

CVS eye make up remover - this is a two faze solution; oil and make up remover. When you shake it they mix in the bottle.
Guess this time I had both hits and misses. This is all my personal opinion and what may not work for me may work for you. Let me know if you have tried any of the above products and how did you like them. Don't forget to check out my previous articles and if you would like to see more pictures, make sure to follow me Instagram (http://instagram.com/nailsby_judinka123/) as well. That's all for today! Talk to you all soon.
