First week of January 2015 My week in nails

Hi guys,

welcome back to yet another quick overview of the manis I wore last week.  I usually post these in the middle of the week but as you can tell, that did not work out this time. If you want to make sure that you see my most up to date creations, you can follow me on my Instagram under username nailsby_judinka123 (http://instagram.com/nailsby_judinka123/). I post new manicures there daily. What I like to do on my blog is to talk about them more in depth and sharing my thoughts on certain nail polishes and brands. If you like what you see, make sure you follow me on Instagram and that you come and check out my blog weekly (at least I am trying to have these articles out every week).

Sunday - Spring mint green manicure

Well, I am not thrilled that we are still in winter because I cannot stand cold and I get tired of looking at snow real quick. So I went with a green manicure reminding me of spring.

For stamping I used Pueen stamping plates; Sally Hansen - green nail polish and added studs.
Stamping is my favorite type of nail art in general. For this mani I used Pueen stamping plates. For my base I used Julep nail polish and for the stamping I used a green polish from Sally Hansen. At the end I decided to add some studs; transparent and green.

2 Coats of Julep's Shenae; such a stunner in real life.
I was really happy with the way this mani turned out because I did not have a clear idea what I want to do when I started. This polish from Julep is so pretty. It is a one coater but I usually do 2 coats. Also like the shimmer running through the polish, even though it does not show up once on your nails.

Monday - Fancy Bows

Oh, I absolutely love this polish from Julep. It looks holographic but it is not your typical holographic nail polish. You can get away with one coat and it will still look absolutely gorgeous. Julep polishes are quite expensive but if you can put your hands on this polish, I would say go for it.

Bow water decals from Born Pretty store; they just made this mani look fancy.
This mani looks so fancy but it was honestly one of the easiest manicures I ever created. I got these bows from Born Pretty store and these are water decals. I was in love with this mani and wore it for few days. Easy to recreate and this probably did not take me even 5 minutes.

This is only one coat of Julep's Rebel; amazing holographic nail polish.
These days you can find so many pretty and good quality water decals and they are so easy to use. You should definitely check out this website because they have an amazing selection of nail art.

Tuesday - Hot Chocolate

Tuesday was such a cold day in North Eastern Pennsylvania and all I wanted to do was to curl up on my sofa and drink some hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows. However, I had to go to work, so at least I have created a mani that would remind me of the feeling.

Simple polka dot manicure mimicking Hot Chocolate. They were so yummy.
For my base I used OPI nail polish from the German collection. And then I did polka dots using a darker chocolate brown from China Glaze and smaller white dots from Sally Hansen.

2 coats of OPI's Don't Pretzel My Buttons; dark chocolate polka dots and Sally Hansen White On
This was another simple mani and in real life it looked almost yummy. Let me know if you have the same feeling as I did on cold days. I just hope this winter goes away soon.

Wednesday - Matte green manicure

I have this green matte nail polish from Wet'n'Wild Fergie collection for a while, I just never really knew what to do with it. Until now when the polish spoke to me and I came up with this simple green manicure.

Simple striping using Shany striping polishes and added flowers on my ring finger.
For the green stripes I used striping nail polishes from Shany and added green femo flowers on my ring finger. I have these for a while just never really used them because I had no idea what to do with them.

Such a pretty green matte nail polish; Wet'n'Wilde Fergie in Miami Spirit.
What you see on my nails are 2 coats of this Wet'n'Wild polish. I think these days you can find this polish on sale so I am not sure if they are discontinuing it or not. If you do not like matte polishes, I would probably skip it. It is a dark green matte nail polish so there is not much use for this color but I think if you are into nail art, you will be able to come up with some fun ideas using this nail polish.

Thursday - Fun Milk Cow Manicure

Ohhhh, by Thursday I was so tired of winter that I had to pull out one of my neon nail polishes from China Glaze. This is such a pretty neon pink color!!! My camera does not give a credit to this awesome color; it was unable to truly capture this neon beauty. I used 2 coats for this manicure but this is another nail polish where you could get away with 1 coat probably. But applying the second coat really brought out the color of this polish.

Milk Cow water decals from Pueen; so cute :)
For my nail art I used again water decals; this time I got them from Pueen. I did not even know they sell water decals and stickers so I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered them on their website. All you need for them is water (I don't really think the temperature of the water makes much difference) and you can easily remove the water decal in few seconds. They are strong enough and they don't tear and look pretty on your nails.

2 coats of China Glaze Shell-O; loved this neon pink on my nails.
You should definitely go ahead and check it out. I also got their newest stamping plates. Their products are great quality and very affordable.

Friday - stamping with MoYou London

Right after I received my order from MoYou London and saw this intriguing image of a snow flake emerging from the woman's face, I knew I needed to create a manicure with it. And I absolutely love how it turned out!!! If you want to know more about these stamping plates, I have already 2 posts on my blog; go and check them out.

In my opinion MoYou London stamping plates are a must have. Great quality and the images are always crisp and easy to transfer on your nails.
I also took advantage of their free international shipping so more is on its way. For the base I used this ugly pretty color from China Glaze; Pelican Grey. I know this color does not look appealing in the bottle but once you put it on your nails, it changes to such a pretty grey with a subtle sheen in it. This polish is also great for nail art.

This is one of those ugly pretty polishes; China Glaze Pelican Grey. I used this nail polish for several manicures. Love, Love, Love.
For stamping I used a dark burgundy polish from OPI and dark blue for L.A. Colors that came in one of their sets and has no name. In general though I believe that you can get away with any nail polish when using MoYou stamping plates. They are so so so pretty!!! A must have for any nail art addict.

Saturday - another stamping manicure

I am sure I already mentioned several times this nail polish from China Glaze but this is one of a must have polishes from this brand. This polish looks great on its own or for nail art. And as I started my week with stamping, I decided to finish it with stamping.

Pulled out my old stamping plates from Cheeky. For stamping I used black stamping polish from Konad and added studs.
My only problem this time was cleaning up the black stamping polish from Konad...but stay tuned because I think I found a great solution for us girls (and guys) who have no patience to clean up the  messy nail polish on your skin and cuticles. I have discovered something I think is worth every penny (hint hint hint: review is coming very soon).

One of absolute must haves from China Glaze is Fast Track. So so pretty on its own or for nail art.
The stamping image is from Cheeky's XL stamping plate. And to make the look a bit more fancy, I have added studs.

So this is my quick sum up of my weekly manicures. Make sure to use #nailsby_judinka123 if you decide to recreate any of these and make sure you check out my Instagram as well. Stay warm and safe and lets cross fingers this winter will go by quick.
