Hi guys,
so a few days have passed again and I finally got to sit down and decided to share with you another of my empties ;). The weather in PA is absolutely awful and I don't know how about you but I do lack any motivation when there is no sunshine for months and the temperatures are below zero for weeks. And besides weather my work is still crazy; however, the load is a bit less stressful, yet still way too busy. So as I mentioned already, today I want to share my thoughts on a few things I have recently used up. I am thinking about doing these maybe twice a month (but definitely at least once a month) because my paper bag is overflowing and my goal is to share my opinion on the products I have already used up before they become real trash.
So without further due, here is a short review on these products. : Dove deodorant, Bath and Body Works body lotion, Indulona hand cream and Olay eye cream.
Dove deodorant
How did I like it - I have tried different deodorants in the past and at some point I realized that I keep re-purchasing the Dove deodorants. In general I like to get the Fresh scent or the ones that are quite neutral, as I always apply either a perfume or body mist after and I do not want the scents to mix together. I like the way it applies and keeps me dry for most of the day or all day (depends on the season and my stress level). I am not saying this is the best deodorant on the market but it is working for me. However, if you wear a lot of blacks, this will transfer and after a certain period of time it will leave a white stain on your black clothes.
Would I buy it again? - As I mentioned before, I lean towards this brand. I like the decent scent and the protection it gives me. It is a bit sticky when I sweat more in summer but it soaks into my skin quite quick. My only con is really the fact it will stain your dark colored clothes if you wear them often; but it is a powdery stick so if you do not like this formula, then I would say skip it. I usually buy the double packs and I always have at least 2-3 of these as a back up.

How did I like it - As with most of the Bath and Body Works products, I have to say I really like this one as well. So far I did not buy a body lotion that I did not like. They all soak into your skin immediately leaving a decent lingering scent.
Would I buy it again? - When it comes to Bath and Body Works products I refuse to pay the full price. I picked this one up during their semi annual sale and paid maybe $3 or $4; which in my opinion is a great price tag. The quality of their body lotions is always amazing and never leave your skin sticky. So yes, if this is again on sale, I would definitely buy it again...and make sure I have a back up as well...lol
Bath and Body Works Body Lotion - Pear Blossom |
How did I like it - With this product, even though it is a hand cream, I do not tend to use it as a hand cream. It works great on my dry elbows...I know, strange thing but I really tried so many things on my elbows and this brand is the only cream that helps and keeps my elbows hydrated. The itchy and dry elbows get seriously bad in winter and this has been my life saver. Ever since I use it daily after shower, I had no problems at all. There are different scents and purposes but I prefer the ones in the red or the blue packaging. This one (in yellow packaging) was of course good as well; maybe a bit greasier than the others but because I usually use these before bed, it did not bother me at all.
Will I buy it again? - This is one of those things that you cannot get in the US; I actually think you cannot get this anywhere else but in Central Europe (specifically in the former Czechoslovakia; which is Czech Republic and Slovakia now) so whenever I go home to visit my family, I always stock up. So yes, I will purchase it every time I go back to Europe. Currently I have at least 6 more of these to go ;)
Indulona Hand Cream - Chamomile scent |
How did I like it - I am still on a hunt to find a good eye cream where I would see results after applying it or I would see a change in my eye skin area routine. I like the metal roller balls, and the cooling effect; however, when you get closer to the end of the product, it gets a bit tricky to get the eye cream out. In general, I did not see much of a difference but it was an OK eye cream.
Will I buy it again? - Well, for right now I would say no. It is a nice eye cream to have but do not expect to see any amazing results! The roller balls are cooling but I did not have a feeling they were helping to reduce any puffiness or to refresh the under eye area. If you wanna try it, I would say go for it but all in all I was not impressed by this product and I do not think I will buy it again. And if you follow me on Instagram (user name: nailsby_judinka123; http://instagram.com/nailsby_judinka123/ ), then you know I really like Olay skin care products in general.
Olay Eye Cream - liked the cooling feeling of the metal balls but did not see any major results. |
Let me know if you have tried any of these and what were your thoughts on them. Again, I am sorry for lack of posting this month; but I will try to be more consistent throughout the year. This month was very hectic and busy for me. Thank you for sticking around and I talk to you all very soon (or at least I hope so). Stay warm and let's cross fingers that spring will be here soon.
