MoYou London Stamping Nail Art Set - Hipster collection (review)

Hi guys,

today I decided to share my thoughts with you on one of the MoYou London's stamping sets. I took advantage of the free world wide shipping they offered in January...and what a better time to order a set that includes nail polish than when a company offers free shipping, right?!

The shipping took  a bit over two weeks but I assume the nail polishes caused a slight delay...customs!!! But even considering that, I received my order really fast. Besides the box I also got a few more stamping plates but I already reviewed those on my blog so if you are interested in knowing more about what I think about them, make sure to check out my earlier posts.

MoYou London has a large selection of different sets...technically each collection has its own box. The box itself is very sturdy and it holds 2 stamping plates, your stamper and scraper and 3 stamping nail polishes. And because most of the boxes already have at least one of the stamping plates I already own, I decided to go with the Hipster stamping box at the end. Each box has the same amount of stamping plates and nail polishes; and it is mostly up to your preference which one you decide to go with.

When you take off the lid everything is in its place. I had no problem with anything being loose when I opened my box and the nail polishes were safe as well. The box itself is very pretty so if you like to decorate your room this will be a nice addition to it. You will also find a picture guide on how to use these stamping plates with a brief description of every steps when applying the designs onto your nails.

Different boxes have different types of stampers and the scarper has the image of the main "character" on it. The scraper is a bit smaller and thicker than I expected but it is a nice and sturdy plastic scraper. For now I prefer my plastic scraper from Cheeky but if you do not have one, this is a great alternative. When it comes to the stamper, you can choose between a round or rectangular shapes. And because I have way too many round stampers, I decided to try out the rectangular shape. My thoughts on the stamper are really mixed...it is a squishy silicone stamper so I did the good old magic trick with the nail file and filed the top surface. And though it worked quite well, I am still not too impressed with the result. I really hate the sticky surface of this stamper and for some reason my silicone part does not want to stay in place and after several applications it comes out. That part is even more annoying than the sticky surface...:( The other thing is that if you prefer a rubber stamper (or you are use to work with a rubber stamper), you may have a really hard time getting use to this one.

However, the quality of the stamping plates is phenomenal and I have no complaints whatsoever. As with any MoYou London stamping plates, these also come in their own protective paper sleeve. As I mentioned before, you get 2 of them in each set. If you want more than 2, then you have to order them separately. In the Hipster set you get plates number 4 and 8.

When you take them out from their sleeves, you will see a blue protective film. This is easy to peel off and the foil leaves no residue on your plates at all. Also, the size of these images is just right. I have medium long nails and I can easily fit the entire image on my nails. For comparisons, you can check out my previous MoYou London post where I showed them comparing to other images from different companies.

Now when it comes to the stamping nail polishes, I have to be honest with you...I did not try them out yet. I am so use to using my regular polishes or my Konad polishes that I always forget about these. But I am hoping the quality on these is as good as they look like. In the Hipster set you are getting a white, a black and a green stamping polish.

I hope this quick review was helpful for you guys. If you wanna see manicures created with MoYou London stamping plates (and other tools...lol), make sure you follow me on Instagram where you can find me under my user name: nailsby_judinka123 ((http://instagram.com/nailsby_judinka123/). For now that's all. Stay safe and warm...I am hoping this winter is over soon.
